Abbey of Sénanque

About the project

The abbey of Sénanque, lasting beacon of primitive Cistercian architecture, is a haven of tranquility in the middle of Vaucluse. Today, a community of monks continue to live in almost self-sufficiency, in accordance with the rule of Saint-Benoît

Thanks to the HistoPad, visitors can discover the monks’ way of life in 1230, during the golden age of the abbey.

Augmented reality, 3D images, and videos allow guests to see the monks of the past the present during the mass, meals, and manual labor.
